RE: Oil Temperature Gauge

Want to do it right? Pull the pan, drill the appropriate size hole and then run a tap thru it for the thread pitch on your sensor. Seal it up and you should be good to go.

Dual disc conversion

I have a 2007 FLSTC Heritage with a single front disc brake, has anybody converted this model to dual disc or know of someone who has?

RE: Visability for headlight and tail light

Thanks for the heads up on the web site, I was looking for something to modulate the tail light bulb without getting into a bunch of rewiring. They had a plug in bulb with everything built into the bulb body, should be here next week.

RE: FLH oil change filter idea

Good Idea, now try this one to completely eliminate the mess. Place a new sanitary napkin under the filter as close to the front of the filter as possible, any oil that leaks from the front of the bag will be absorbed. No mess. Hey, it really works.

RE: fuel mileage

I dropped the power commander because the install required the re-routing of wiring, breakers, etc to get it to fit right, especially with the Corbin seat istalled. Also, programming the PCIII requires a lot more work than the Big Shot and I think the end result is pretty much the same. Prehaps with more mods to the motor and a need for each and every hp would justify the PCIII, I don't know, but for my money the Techlusion way works.

fuel mileage

I like reading sites like this one so I can get some great ideas about tuning and riding harleys, plus it is interesting to see how other people do things. I am currently riding an 07 Heritage with Rush 1 3/4" slah down mufflers, SE air cleaner with a KN filter, and using a Ness Big Shot (techlusion) fuel injection modifier. I get between 40-43 miles per gallon and the bike runs great and cooler than stock, a lot cooler. All of this for less than $700.00 bucks! The Big Shot makes a huge difference in the way the bike runs, I tried a PCIII, sold it the next day. Techlusion is the way to go for me. It is a load based system that took all of one hour to install and program, acutally it would have been 30 minutes but I like to snap tie everything and that took a little longer. Read their web site, it will be an eye opener!
